CVS & Walgreens Quarterly Review: April, May, June 2010

The savings this year is going strong! The total spent is how much cash I spent out of pocket (OOP) and the savings is what I would have spent if I had paid full retail price for the items. The total saved is a more than last quarter! Here's how I did:

Total spent at CVS in 2nd quarter: $24.22

Total spent at Walgreens in 2nd quarter: $34.12

Total spent in 2nd quarter = $58.34

Total saved at CVS in 2nd quarter: $447.76

Total saved at Walgreens in 2nd quarter: $785.92

Total saved in 2nd quarter = $1233.68

PLUS, I had several mail-in rebates this quarter. If you figure in the rebates, I did even better:

Total spent in 2nd quarter = $58.34!!!

Total rebates in 2nd quarter = $52.97!!!

Total: $5.37 for $1233.68 worth of products!!!

A great quarter at Walgreens; I "saved" twice as much as I did at CVS, but there weren't as many rebates.

AND... there's a mail-in-rebate (MIR) on the Schick Hydro razor, making this a huge money maker!!! Buy 1, Get (up to) $10.99 Back! Go HERE to print rebate form. Like I said, the Schick ECB deal expires 6/19 at CVS, but the rebate is good on purchases between 6/14/10 and 8/18/10, so there's still time for another deal. I would suggest printing out the rebate NOW in case Schick decides to remove it from their site.
